Long before there was a DEER CAMP® Coffee, there were two people, a blind date, and a cup of coffee.

More than 26 years ago, husband and wife Anthony and Julie Majewski met on a blind date. Coffee helped bring them together—but they quickly discovered they had two very different passions.

He loved hunting. She loved coffee.

Years later, those two worlds would come together to help create DEER CAMP® Coffee Roasting Company & Outfitters.

From a Cup of Coffee to a Michigan Brand

Founded in 2015, DEER CAMP® began with a simple idea: take the welcoming tradition of deer camp—the stories, laughter, friendships, and time spent together—and combine it with something almost everyone can gather around: a great cup of coffee.

The concept was never about coffee just for hunters.

It was about the feeling of camp.

A place where everyone is welcome. A place to gather, reconnect, laugh, tell stories, and make memories.

You don't have to hunt to belong at DEER CAMP®.

DEER CAMP® was created by a husband-and-wife team, but another important chapter in the company's history began in 2016, when DEER CAMP® became a woman-owned company.

Together, Anthony and Julie have helped transform a family idea into an award-winning Michigan coffee roasting, manufacturing, retail, and lifestyle brand.

Their different interests—the outdoors and coffee—became part of the personality that still defines DEER CAMP® today.

Born in Michigan. Built One Cup at a Time.

From its Michigan beginnings, DEER CAMP® has grown far beyond coffee.

The brand has expanded into seasonings and rubs, candy, jerky and snack sticks, specialty meats, wine collaborations, apparel and merchandise, licensed locations, and the award-winning DEER CAMP® Traveling Café.

DEER CAMP® products are sold through independent retailers across North America, while the company's Sterling Heights headquarters remains home to its coffee roasting, manufacturing, retail, and brand operations.

Yet growth has never changed the basic idea behind the company:

Create great products that give people a reason to come together.

What began with two people sharing coffee has grown into a brand recognized by thousands of coffee drinkers.

DEER CAMP® has been named WDIV Local 4 “Vote 4 The Best” – Best Coffee five consecutive times.

The DEER CAMP® Traveling Café has also earned WDIV Local 4's Best Food Trailer recognition, and DEER CAMP® was named the 2024 Macomb County Business Awards Hidden Gem Winner.

For Anthony and Julie, those awards represent something bigger than trophies. They represent the customers, employees, families, businesses, and Michigan communities that have become part of the DEER CAMP® story.
